The tax auction

Photobucket

Good mornin Possum's! I'm down town in front of the Nashville court house! We decided to take in one of the tax auctions to see what this is all about. Anyone can join in on one of these auctions. Pay the back taxes and own these porperties! Now Bubba's not into this on a normal basis, but it was something to check out mainly out of curiousity.

A hush falls over the audience as we are about to go in. I have to ride through the xray machine Possum's! The only thing that showed up was my button eyes!

Here I am after signin up to be a bidder. This is my biddin number. Keep in mind I'm not here to bid, but only observe the process. We watched as one woman bought a property for $423.00.  After the auction we decided to drive out and look at the property she had purchased durin our mornin tax auction.

The little house was what we found. I thought it was cute enough. But what lay inside beyond the front door was left over flood damage from the floods of 2010. It was scary. My human was in the hospital durin the floods last years, so it wasn't the best time for flood coverage.

This house can never be lived in again by order of the state of Tennessee. There was a sign posted of the front door. The sign read...Not fit for human habitation. The house itself is riddled with black mold and Hepititus. Don't worry I didn't go inside. This was me viewin it from the front entrance way. Pretty bad wouldn't you say? I can't even imagine the horror these folks went through! The previous owners. This house has to be torn down and burned by law.

What a sad state of affairs. I found this rockin horse out in the back yard. Everything from these peoples lives completely trashed. We had no idea this kind of damage had occurred due to our hospital stay. I noticed tears runnin down my humans face. And as stated from the grinach story....His heart grew three sizes that day.

I had more to blog about today , but the sadness is to much to handle just now. Bubba
