Just stuff

It's the black and white of things in the job market these days. The news reports we're in recovery,but the jobs aren't coming. My Dad,once an employee of Whole Foods Market, Let him go for completing his job duties. He has never been fired for doing his job before. Word on the street is Whole Foods is in many lawsuits for firing people illegally! And may the judge throw the book at them! Sent out many resumes to jobs your qualified for and then some. Jobs listed on Craisglist that never answer you back. So why did they even list them if they aren't interested in fillin them in the first place? The world is a messed up place Possum's.


I shall cal in Sharkboy and Lavagirl! Don't-cha wish it were that easy?



On the sadder things on importance, our beloved Elizabeth Taylor has passed away! Another one of the greats has left us! Sad Possum's ,very sad. We love you and may God bless!

Opryland Hotel

Good mornin my sweet little Possum's! Peeps the word as I visit the Twilight convention at the Opryland Hotel Here in Nashville. The hotel is a sight ta see if ya'll ever get ta visit Nashville.



Waterfalls throughout! Like bein on a seriuos vacation! I gathered up a cup of hot Mocha latte and was chillin by the waterfall. The beauty and splendor of this Hotel is glorius!


Flowers and palm trees all around the place! take in the beauty! And eye popin purple needs the sun shades so early in the mornin!


It was like I was a Sock Monkey runnin through the tropics!


This green dude was walkin around at the convention. Nobody know whys he is so green. My guess is he was tryin ta get noticed by the film people. Welcome ta Nashville. These kinds of things are always happenin here.



Waterfall mug! Can I sit under it? I think an arrest would be made if I did such a thing! I was more distracted by the hotel than the Vampire actors of the convention. I got my photo made with Charlie. One of the Vampires from "Breaking Dawn". The photo hasn't arrived yet, but you guys will be the first ta see it when it arrives.


A quick walk by the pool! Scopin out destinations for the summer! Sittin around the pool with a cocktail for sure.



This was a cool lookin plant on our walk through the Hotel. Star qualities ya know.



So many fountains! Water shoottin up out of the floor! The Hotel was very damaged by the floods of last year and has now reopened after months of repairs.


Can ya'll say Space Odessey music lookin? That's what I thoguht about when I laid my eyes on this one!




A walk through the gardens inside the hotel. With the waterfalls and palm trees I was hummin the Gilligan's Island theme. I waved to the camera on the movie star part! Here on Gilligan's Isle! LOL!



Lifestlyes of the rich and famous! I'm a folkart Sock Monkey that could get use to these settins!



Pardon me while I wonder over to the coffee pot this mornin for another cup of Joe. (Take glasses off and looked concerned. If not wearin any fake it!) A scratch of my nose and a skip along the way!

Sock of the hill and all around the drawer! Good evening Possum lovers. Well I came to tell you guys my Dad didn't get the job this mornin. He spent all afternoon online sendin out resumes. It'll all be okay. I'm just sittin around this evenin lookin at my Dads paintins. The one with the flowers and peace sign isn't finished yet,but I'm likin it just the same. The bright colors just speak ta me.



And here's the second one. He's always got us Sock Monkeys on the brain. We ended up havin a great warm sunny day. We got out and went for a walk, sportin the Ipod of course for a jammin walk. Have a Sock Monkey evenin! Bubba

The madness of a Sock Monkey

How in the Sock Monkey world are my Possum's this glorious mornin? Pardon me while I take my mornin whiz! A Sock monkeys gotta do what a Sock Monkeys gotta do Etc. Etc. Don't ya'll go lookin all disgusted...we all do it! Here in my Sock Drawer the coffee is a brewin! My dad has a job interview early this mornin. Got the whole house up and runnin around! Except for yesterdays blog, it's been a long time since I did my Sock Jargon And I've gotta Get myself back in the swing of things anyway.



The weather here in Nashville turned out rather nicely yesterday! Got up in the 80's! So I took it upon myself to sit on my sofa in the backyard watchin the daylillies come up out of the ground! The Spring season starts here in a few days and the flowers are tryin ta do their thang! Hopefully we're done with the chilly cold temps for this year. With temps in the single digits this past winter...I'm done! And as promised, I've got more Sock Monkey madness photo's For today. Got an email from MS. Stacey last night (Scotts wife from Amazin arts) showing their Sock Monkey festival weddin pictures! They are so great! I'll post the URL here tomorrow for ya'll ta see.


as ya'll can see from these photo's , the festival was a crowded place!


I'm workin it for the camera again! This was a paintin done by one of the vendors Husbands. My dad politely ask if we might use it for a Kodak moment! They were all to eagar ta help us out! Look where that photo ended up! For all the world ta see! Cha-cha-cha!!! Doin the Sock Monkey hussle.

And on the folkart fly....A Sock Monkey quilt addorned the wall! Talkin my sweet down south language!! Folkart always a personal favorite. Hence the Sock Monkey.

I know I've photoed with this in the past,but what's one more time!? I'm just havin a Sock Monkey festival good time!

The Red Heeled Shelters booth lookin mighty good! Red bein one of my favorite colors...This was eye poppin! It was so good to meet these fine folks after all these years! Hello Bubba fans! Sorry I've been away so long! Olde Bubba has lots ta blog about over the next few days,so stay tuned, saddle up and set back! Pop a little pop corn! Now unknown to ya'll my fans, I finally got ta go to the Sock Monkey festival the first weekend in March! Wow! All the way to Rockford IL. from Nashville TN. Long 9 hour trip, but worth every mile! Smiles all around! The plain boss,the plain!

Got ta finally meet the folks from the Red heel Monkey Shelter! I have ta say their some of the nicest folks I ever met in the Sock Monkey business world!

Banana man was on hand. Oh Yeah! That's what I'm talkin bout! The biggest Banana I ever did see! If it were real, I'd have peeled him and ate him! Only found a caring Sock Monkey human inside. Oh well! Smile for the camera dude!



The spotlight was on As the biggest surprise of all!



Scott, from Amazin arts (rubber stamp artist) announced they would marry at the festival!!!! That was so excitin! I was proud ta be on hand for such a glad and happy event!


She had Sock Monkeys all over her weddin gown!! How cool is this! I can tell ya'll it brought tears to my button eyes....Pardon me while I dry my eyes.





Grand-daughter of the Sock knitin machine inventor that Started us all!! I'm tellin ya'll this festival, was poppin with all kinds of surprises.




If ya'll remember when I first took a trip to the Sock Monkey museum, This is the nicest lady named Cindy! I believe she was a school teacher in the village on that trip. It was a real pleasure to see her again! Big hug for MS. Cindy!
