The quilt of the matter
The quilt of the matter is,we got this quilt at the thrift store. Not bad for $18.99! Mike and I liked the colors so much we brought it home! It is a homemade quilt for those of ya'll wonderin. Made with the old double knit fabric of the 60's. Ya'll know,It's when polyester made its appearance. That'll give ya'll a little history lesson on the textiles of the day. Ya'll know I'm a folkart lover.
Mike and I just had ta play with the camera. We started lookin around ta see what would look good in the photos. Ya'll better work! I must say it's all lookin good on the colors!
Another Teddy Bear has graced our door jam. He was pretty dirty upon his arrival. Mike gave him a good wash up! He turned out lookin like new! Hangin in the carnival good! Must have just been sittin around since the 60's! I have ta tell ya Possums,Mike can work a Teddy Bear! If it needs love,he's right there with a needle and thread and a glass of wine. No Teddy Bear task to big or small! Many need new stuffin! The stuffin of the 60's always looks like something they swepted up off the floor somewhere in an old factory. Course back then it may well have been. All I know is our dogs were very attracted to it whatever it was. If that's not enough ta scare ya'll,I don't know what will. Polyfil has taken the place of the Nasty.
This just goes ta show ya'll Monkeys are hams in front of the camera! Bubba
Monday mania
Howdy monday mornin Possums! I'm here in The Sock Drawer and got some more kind of craziness ta show ya'll! This here's a Dragon cake Mike made on his job. Cute thing ta start the Monday mornin blog off with.
He's ready for his close up.
This here is my logo sign drawn and painted by Mike. Got a bit of a glare to it.
There! That's better. I laminated it yesterday. It's hard ta get a picture. But anyway,ya'll get the picture.
I got my Mardi Gras mask on and ready ta party! Bring on the parade! Happy Monday Possums! Bubba
