More of the Park

Good evening my precious Possum's and it has been a fabulous day! I am still sitting aorund and thinking of the fun cars I got to see and sit in as well. Twas a joy to find such a treasure of a day by surprise.



This piece wasn't at all part of the car show. It was actually parked there from someone whom attened the show. I could not resist! Get your motor running,heading down the highway....(Bubba Humming). As the dream bubble appears above his head and he's out on the open road riding the motor bike and the wind blowing his button eyes all about. Sorry there is no hair on a Sock Monkey to let the wind blow through.


Grease is the word! How 50's is this beauty? Can you say Poodle skirt? The driver with his sunshades in place and a cigarette tucked ever so carefully behind his ear. I could see it now.



Hot digetty dog Possum's. This photo was inspired by non other than Hot Dog Mike on Facebook! Tis a guy whom has a Hot Dog cart and he moves around the city where he lives and post his where abouts on facebook so his patrons will know where he is at. From what I can tell his Dogs are quite good and tasty!

A walk in the park

Good afternoon Possum's and what a wonderful day it is! My Dad and I decided to head to Centennial Park because of the beautiful day and enjoy A walk in the park.



These swings they provide in the park really are quite nice ,so I decided to sit a spell and enjoy the beauty of the day. The temps only in the 70's makes it fabulous!


The geese were swimming in the pond hoping for tid bits of bread crumbs occashionally thrown in by folks out on their walks. They are fed quite well I might add!


So here we are minding our own business and just out on a usual photo shoot. Nothing much else going on in our day.



Much to our dismay we walked up into a Great car show in the park! BONUS!!!!! What a great opp. for a blog moment! Dad and I looked at each other as our eyebrows raised and great big smiles came across our faces! True mine is always there,but who's counting?


In my mind I was thinking....*Bond,James Bond.* (Wink) "Shaken...not stirred." Here's the reason why I was thinking it to start with.....



I suppose it was alright for us to take a picture.No one was around to correct our action on this delicate matter,so FLASH went our camera! And Flash again! And so on. What a great day this had turned out to be, and all by surprise! Completely free to enjoy!



Common....Say it with me "Rolls Royce" Oooooouuuuuu....Aaaaaawwwww! Now that's what old Bubba is talking about! A ride in style! Fit for a King Sock Monkey! Well...we can imagine it if we want to,can't we?






This picnic basket and little green number was owned by a woman from England. She ran up to talk to us! Much to our amazment She was a fan of our Blog Here in Bubba's Sock Drawer! All the way across the pond! How totally Awesome we got to meet! This is really a true story! I could not believe it was really happening! I ask her if she wanted a photo with me,but she refused. She was so glad to meet me! So we parted company and But before we did she ask If I wanted my picture from behind the wheel? Does a Sock Monkey have a red smile? The hat you see on the car is a real policemens cap from England! Coolest afternoon ever!!!


This is the back end of a car made into a seat and umbrella...Ya'll know I had to check it out! A Sock Monkey can get plum tucked out walking around looking at his dream cars!


This is an antique tank from quite along time ago! Not sure of it's age,but great for the photo purpose!


Look at this beauty! Kind of reminds me of Grease the movie.



What a fantastic day this all turned out to be!!!

Thursday stuff

Must be something important going on down by the river tonight! We're seeing amazing fireworks in the night sky! Gosh! Lansakes alive! You'd think it was the 4th of July all over again. Was an enjoyment just the same. So...Good evening my Possum's. Hope ya'll enjoyed the photo blog of earlier. My Dad and I went around to find Holiday decorations. Photo op! Christmas being a peticular favorite of mine...I saved it for a separate blog all on it's own. This first picture you see up above is one of the good ones I liked. I believe this was at Old Time Pottery. They had some really pretty stuff for us to look at. The point of taking pictures in the stores is so we can enjoy the decorations without the storage in a closet at home. Without spending a lot of money to have and cherish them. Cause each and every year there will be something new of interest.


Look at this beautiful Christmas tree. Didn't have to put it up or take it down. How easy was that? And still got to enjoy it's wondrous beauty! I know what your saying Possum's and Yes we do have a tree that we put up every Christmas season. It goes up the day after Thanksgiving and stays up till the day after Christmas. Sometimes we even take it down Christmas day because by that time,we're tired of it already.



Look Possum's! A Sock Monkey sized sleigh! Dashing through the snow and all! well...mud in our case here in the south. It was better than spaghetti taco's! Yes these really do exist! Started out as a joke on Icarly show and turnred into "it's what's for dinner" kind of thing. Read that on Yahoo this afternoon.



Carolors? Really? Ya'll want me to sing? Sorry Possum's. Not in the mood. I still got to get through Halloween. Got some pretty fancy footwork photoshoots coming up soon. Got the costume all ready and I'm always in the mood for Chocolate!



I've heard of the goose that laid the golden egg,but a golden reindeer? What does he lay? A Fabrache egg? I was wondering if I sat here long enough, if I'd turn into the golden Sock Monkey? That didn't happen at all!

The front lawn

Sock Monkeys just want to have fun! So out onto the front lawn Fletcher and I went! We decided to have a spot of tea out on the front lawn in picnic style,and so we did! The sunny day just beautiful for such an event! In the 70's as of right now,but the radio says it's gonna be in the 80's today. Wow What a wonderful fall day! We all had a good laugh over the funny looks the neighbors gave us. Mike didn't care,he just snapped the photo anyway! Let's all join hands and sing! LOL! Well...a song for this fun occashion does not come to mind just now,but I'm sure Fletcher is on it! He's kinda quiet at times but that's okay cause I like to jabber!
