Great Saturday evenin! Very nice and cool this evenin outside on the porch. Have been enjoyin this great and beautiful day! My Dad has started takin the upolstery off this great chair one of the hotels was throwing out. There was a stack of these chairs they put out by the side of the road for folks to take if they wanted to. I guess they were remodeling and getting new furniture. It's a great chair! I did take a before photo and will certainly will take an after photo when the work is done. The upolstery on the back of the chair is already off and now working on the seat. Boy! They stapled the heck out of this fabric! But it's coming along. Mike and I both think it will be a great piece of work when it's completed. Have a great evening!Bubba

The Saturday Flamingo
Hello Possum's! Gathered up the Flamingo's out of the yard and puttin them away for the rest of the year. Their season has come and gone. It gets so cold here I was worried it might make the plastic crack. I have recently joined facebook so that has been really strange tryin to figure that out. It seems to much like My Space. It's all good I suppose. Don't have much time to be on Facebook, I'm uually out on photo shoots and makin appearances here and there. Am up mighty early this mornin after going to bed at 8:30 P.m. last night. That always makes me get up early! The sewing machine hasn't been used in ages and Mike's still recoverin from brain surgery. Have a great Saturday!

Coffe with Fletcher
Top of the mornin to ya Possum's! Welocome to "Good mornin Sock Monkey" here in Bubba's Sock Drawer! The mornin is rather cool out and about this mornin! I'm here with my good friend Fletcher who has stopped in to have coffee with us this mornin. Let me first say I'm so glad you stopped in to join us Fletcher!
Fletcher: Thanks for havin me in for coffee this mornin Bubba! It's always a pleasure comin to visit Bubba's Sock Drawer! Nice roomy and spacious here amongst all the socks!
Bubba: Fletcher tell all the folks at home how you came about getting those rainbow hands of yours? I certainly know that you and I are the only two Sock Monkeys that I've seen with fingers!
Fletcher: Well it all started when you first got your fingers. Your Dad was sitting around one day and saw that this pair of toe socks he had was worn out and ready for the garbage can. Thus became my new fingers! It was and excitin day! He lovinly wheeled me into Sock Monkey surgery in his studio/sewin room and went to work. The rest is Sock Monkey history! (chuckle out loud)
Bubba: That's an interestin story Fletcher. And one for the Sock Monkey books! Socks are an amazin tool to work with and have been entertainin folks for decades! Had it not been for these pioneernin folks,We the Sock Monkeys would never have been born into the world at large!
Fletcher: Quite right Bubba! Our readers out there are wonderin why we don't have coffee mugs for our coffee.
Bubba: They didn't know we were just sippin it right out of the spout of our tarnished Silver plated coffee pot. I think the tarnish gives it a certain something,don't-cha agree?
Fletcher: The antique look is always in! It goes quite nicely with this eye openin back drop! Socks alive,Bubba, I almost need my sunglasses to look at the bright colors this early in the mornin! But a great look I enjoy.
Bubba: It makes a Sock sit up and take notice. The art department here in Bubba's Sock Drawer is a happenin place ta be, Fletcher. The ideas are always flowin! How they come up with the things they do is simply sittin around the camp fire brain stormin! Dancin in the moonlight Sock Monkey good! Chocolate at sunset good! Sock Monkey festival good!
Fletcher: OK! OK! Bubba let's not get all streched out of shape over it! Here, have another sip of coffee Bubba.
Bubba: I say old chap! That does go down smooth! Cha,cha, cha! Say Fletcher..You and I have something in common. Tell our readers about that.
Fletcher: Your Dad,my owner and Human....Found us both at a flea market! You were hangin from the ceilin and I was dug up out of a box of stuff. Discarded Sock Monkeys that have been brought back to life and in a good lovin home! The possibilities are endless when Socks enter the picture!
Bubba: My Dad does have a passion for a good Sock Story!! Give him a good cup of joe and he's off and runnin!
Fletcher: Sorry for the delay,Bubba, but I'm off to the movie set. Thanks so much for the coffe talk this mornin!
Bubba: Stop on in anytime and we'll do this again! Has been fun havin you here!
Flethcer: Goodbye for now!
Bubba: And that's all the time we have for this Friday mornin! Peace out Socks!

The Thursday afternoon yahoositz
Good afternoon Possum's of the Sock Monkey house today! And look at the backdrop of choice! Love the old fashion feel it has to it! Mike thinks it will end up as a recover for a chair he picked up on the side of the road and dearly loves. A little paint and a quick recover with this fabric, it will turn out to be a work of art! And ya'll know I'll be johnny on the spot with a photo and all should that take place. On with the news of the rest of the day!
On the sadder side of things....Tony Curtis has passed away at the age of 85. It saddens my Sock Monkey heart cause I have watch his movies for many, many, many years! Now don't go makin me go and spill my age! Although you guys know how old I am if ya'll been payin attention to old Bubba's blogs all along. That in itself could be a whole nother blog in itself! Don't get me started on my makins, whereabouts and history!! I was almost at the very beginnin of the very existance of Sock Monkeys! Oops! Done let the cat out of the bag! Oh well! Its a beautiful day and the sun is shinin! I don't hear any birds out so I'm asummin they have already started their flights south.
News of the alley way out back ya'll ? Here is another picture of another chair or foot stool if ya'll will sittin around and just screamin out for me to come along and blog about it! So here it is. I know ya'll couldn't make through your lives with out knowin bout this stool. So out the back door Mike and I scampered with camera in tote. Mike said to say cheese, but I don't like cheese all that much and anyhow my smile is plastered on my face, so I just posed for the picture. BAM! Sock Monkey style! Cain't touch this! Don't make me go all MC Hammer on ya'll! Break dancin all over the alley way! And if I take a mind to I'll be jumppin on the foot stool with all my Sock Monkey Might! Have a Blessed day!!Bubba

Twas cold when i Awoke this A.M. Nothing a good cup of Joe couldn't fix! Rubbin the sleep out of my button eyes and reachin for my warm bathrobe so I can stumble down the stairs and dive into the coffee pot! Just like a hot tub! As I sit here and let the coffee trickle over my head pour myself a cup of ambition and yawn an strecth and try ta come to life. Get out your game boards and have a good old fashion family night!Bubba

Good evenin Possum's! Has been a wonderful cloudy fall day. The air cool all day! I guess fall time has crept in on us. Glad for that! What did ya'll think about the elevator funny? I laughed so hard there were tears streamin down my face and still get a chuckle when it comes to mind. One of my Peeps emailed that to me about ten years ago. I hung on to it all this time! After I typed it here I finally laid it to rest in the garbage can,but I wanted to share it with ya'll first. Now ya'll know I'm not the best typer in the world,so it took me quite a while to get that entire thing blogged. I like to see everyone with a smile and a laugh! That's what this blog is for, smiles all around! Welcome to fantasy island! (Sock Monkeys scatter!) As you can see, Mike and I pulled out the Monopoly board this evenin! The game has been going hard and fast! I won't let it slip who owns Park Place! Three hotels already. Piles of fake money everywhere! All the pretty colors! Golly Gosh! Why put your crown on and parade around the livingroom,we're goin on a Journey! I know that sounds pretty crazy, but ya otta try it sometime! It'll make ya laugh! Plum giggle right down to your toes! Say....have you ever danced with a Sock Monkey in the moonlight? Don't knock it till you have tried it! Happy Monday evenin!Bubba
