Fred and Gloria are watchin

Here I am up a tree in the newly fallen snow Possum's! Last time we got ten inches,but this time we only got two inches. Only tomorrow we are in for sleet all day turnin much to ice. Big ole shout out ta Fred and Gloria! I see ya'll peekin up in the corner of my dashboard. Funny,it won't let me follow ya'll. As if your hiddin or somethin. Suit yourselves. Ya'll ain't foolin nobody. Mike and I are livin in Nashville and doin just fine. Still a large collection of toys and dolls. Still got the doll house ya'll made us back in the day. The genie in a bottle still aludes us to this very day.



Here I am out in the sticks! Not really,only across the street.

The second snow

Howdy possum's!!!! And welcome to 606 in the snow! Twas a great day here at 606! Mike's job called and told him to stay home!!!! SNOW DAY!!!!! Party in the snow! It has snowed the entire day and is still snowin this very moment as we speak. Now I know what your thinkin.......I tried very hard ta build a snowman and the snow wouldn't stick together. Seems ta be of the powdery variety. Not good for makin a snowman at t'all.



So I did the next best thang! Snow angel! Now,how do ya make the perfect snow angel and not have the walk away footprints? Ya got ta have a friend ta do it with.



Its better than a birdhouse with snow on it!



As the buzzard flies I'll just sit here a spell with my pumpkin! Doesn't everyone? Happy Friday! And may all ya'll find Charlie brown on your counter too! Bubba

The weather outside is frightful

Yeah,that's right! It snowed in Nashville Possum's! Has been snowin for three days! Soooo....I thought I'd get out and try out my new Christmas sweater. Everythings fine. I'm certainly warm enough. So don't ya'll threat at Bubba gettin a chill. I'll just sit here a while and wait for my hot chocolate to arrive. Sittin here....alone......in the snow......but I'm gettin along fine. As the Sock Monkey tail goes anyway.(take off glasses and looked concerned)(not wearin any glasses?Fake it!)Was pretty funny watchin my Human,Mike,slip off the stair with his big butt flyin through the air out into the snow! He was plum lyin on the ground when he took this shot! LOL! Actin as if he meant to do that. Didn"t want the neighbors to think he is a complete idiot!LOL! But I knew.

Another Christmas

Well Possum's...........Another Christmas has come to pass. The reindeers have flown again and Jolly Ole ST. Nick is now restin in peace at home with the Mrs.! The elves are runnin a muck and partyin till they all drop. Ever wonder how many rolls of wrappin paper were used this holiday season? Me either,but it was funny ta think about. There are kids out there that got the bestest present ever when they opened a Sock Monkey!



A pocket full of daisies To all the lonely people in the world. Hang in there cause something wonderful is comin!



Looks like I'll have to eat all these candy canes! Anyone ta join me? I just wonder how in the world did they get these stripes on them. Did some elf paint them on in the middle of the night after to many Cappicino's? Dude! Your workin overtime! Chill out!

Two days and countin

Christmas eve off in tomorrows distance Possum's. I s'pose Santas very busy right about now. Won't be any white Christmas in Nashville. Thunderstorms Christmas Eve and into Christmas mornin. I'm kind of bummed bout that,but it's the reality of things. I think they said snow flurries for Christmas day.



These roses go out to someone special for Christmas.



Our Chihuahuas are havin a Merry Christmas as well. Basket full of puppies I always say. What could be more fun than that?

Christmas today comes from the sweet historical city Of Franklin TN.! I'm out on a rather cloudy overcast day! The temps did come up into the 50's so's it was a nice afternoon. A Dickins Christmas right smack dab in the middle of the historical square. Folks came from all over ta see such a wonder and delightful costumed Scrooge and cast. Yes....I know your next question. I did in deed get their photos and ya'll will see'em as we get into this blog just a bit more. Just be Patient Possum's and let ole Bubba tell the story. My celeb status rang true from some of the townsfolk as they loved the Sock Monkey Thang and all. I did in fact get around and talked to many pleasin Humans runnin around the place. But as I said in an earlier statement,please bare with me.



Ya'll know Tiny Tim hoppin along on his crutch,God blessin everyone he met. Ma and Pa Cratchit were all to pleased to photograph themselves along side of me. I really wanted ta ask them if the Christmas puddin was whistlein in the copper. But I remained very polite at our wonderous meetin. It was of the utmost importance that I was destined ta meet them in my sock time! I also wanted ta tell Tiny Tim to run down to the corner and buy the biggest turkey hangin up.



The horse drawn cart would drive ya'll around the square for $2.00. I chose ta walk cause I didn't want ta miss a single thing. The Christmas spirit filled the air as carolers sing on one street corner and the next was the river dance. Girls jumpin around with their arms stiffly by their sides. Curly wigs bouncin to the high heavens and I don't know what all! Two young men up the street just a ways,playin their trombones all dressed in period clothin. The top hats were a tippin and wishin a Happy Christmas to whom ever they passed.



I met this young lady in one of the booths. She and I struck up a conversation while we were photographin together. She Stated she was from North Carolina and was here Christmasin with our Scrooged cast. I didn't catch her name,but wish her a merry Christmas and all the blessins for her and her family. It was a joy speakin To her.



I got plum tuckered out and had ta sit a spell. This little metal car a settin out on the sidewalk. I guess they knew I was comin and wanted ta make sure I had a proper place ta sit down. Bless their little Scrooged hearts! And a very Merry Christmas to ya'll as well. The metal seat was a bit cold ta sit upon,but it's the thought that counts!



The decorations were a sight to behold! If ya'll left this affair without Christmas spirit.....well......ya just didn't need it ta start with. And if I may.....a ba-humbug! I'm just sayin!



Look at this decorated store front! Thought it was a thing of the past didn't ya'll? Not true this Christmas. Jolly old St. Nick and the lot. Ya'll know the Twas the night stories and all.



LOOOK OUT!! IT'S SCROOGE! He threatened ta keep my Sockass! Be afraid! Be very afraid! I would have ended up locked away in one of his money vaults or somethin! Ya'll know how valuable we Sock Monkeys are! Good Gosh golly! Lands sakes! Runnin throught the street with me in hand! Don't make me go all Christmas ghost on ya asss!!!(insert puff of smoke here!) *Wink*




Save the Franklin Cinema! That's waht the sign read. I got it from a reliable source that the historical society has raised the monkey..I mean the money,yeah the money to restore this wonderful treasure.




The carol of the bells concert. They were so pretty! Playin out on the street corner.




These two were only smilin while the camera was out! I know they was thinkin "brutalize Bubba"! Not happenin guys! Merry Christmas just the same....

Happy Holidays

The happiest of Holidays to ya Possum's! I'm just cozied up here by the tree and Christmasin all the way! At present it's 14 degrees this mornin! Country music froze and stuck to the wall last night! My frozen Sock Monkey butt! Now where's the Christmas snow? At least that if we're gonna have these freezin temps. Another tender TN. Christmas as the song goes. Dashin through the dirt again. Mud pie snowmen out on the lawn. The pink flamingos turned inside out last night because of the coldness. Not pretty.....

All our Christmas shoppin done and under the tree. Packages all wrapped up pretty. The beautiful Christmas music fills the air as the radio plays on. Bubba
