Hello Possum's of the Tuesday mornin warehouse! Sittin here on the front steps enjoyin the best day ever! The coffee has already been downed and the day has begun! My business manager has paid the cell bill this mornin. YIPEEEEEEEE! I have cell service for another month. 1-800-celeb-Sock-Monkey...how may I help you? Bubba G. Thorton here. The G. stands for something we can't rightly pronouce here in the swamps of Alabama! I'm just kiddin Possum's! I shall now do the Indian dance of the tomato plants! May they grow and produce fruit! 2-3-4. Chefs? Food network? NA! Give me a tomato sandwich drippin with mayo please! I have people to wipe it off my mouth! It's okay! Did someone say Ice Cream? Being cool on a Monday night

Kay Possum's...Most people hate Mondays. Mondays can actually be kind of a cool night if ya'll let it. I'm here in wardrobe with my people. I wasn't liken the long sleeve shirt they gave me for these pants the other day. Why? It's summertime! Hot people! So I told them RE-DO! What did I get next? This yellow shirt. I'm preparin for a trip in the very near future. I'll be ready for the ROADTRIP! I'll not spill the beans as to where I'm going. The Pavarazzi simply have to be kept in the dark of my where-a-bouts. To much camera flash could fade my brown sock skin. I mean let's face it...I am over 50 years old and I'm already faded. But not into the background! I will never let that happen! I'm a Sock monkey on the go and I have somewhere to go and a story to tell...So I'm gonna tell it! The days are countin down till I leave the Sock Drawer to get out and about. This is a place I've never been before in the 25 years history I've been doin my websites/blog and what have you. New material Possum's. I'm gonna keep ya'll in the loop as much as possible. But for now I'm gonna sit here on a Monday night with a bunch of mindless blog. We'll just call it suspense............................................Let's see if I can give ya'll a clue for the next trip on the books. WOOD! That's the clue!! See if ya'll can guess. Hangin at the gossip fence

Well Possum's, its another Monday. I was hangin out at the gossip fence wonderin what I could get into today. After the MTV awards last night,I was a little tuckered out from stayin up late to watch. Gotta keep myself well informed as ya'll well know. My celeb status is overwhelmin sometimes. So I decided to head into town and see what's happenin. Not much to report on there ,but I found some beautiful fountains to relax by on my outtin.


My photo manager got some strange looks as he was photgraphin Bubba the Sock Monkey runnin through town. Autographs? yeah that too. Ran into a few fans whom wanted their pics taken with me. I'm always glad to do so.

In the good old summer time

Hello summertime Possum's!! As every year like clock work since we moved to Nashville....Hangin at the Parthanon in the park! Just thought we'd get out and about on such a warm summer day. The parthanon holds our very own golden girl "Athena"! Goddess of something or another. All I really know about her is she's this giant statue in a buildin! Feet as big as our toyota sittin in the driveway! Yeah...she's a big girl.



I found myself in the stranest places on this trip to the park. We treid to look at things a little different. Some bronze guy statue about war stuff ya know. My photo manager thought it would be a good shot. He's not the one balancin over his head on his hand liftin up to a tall statue , he had to climb himself just to get the shot! Can you say arrested Possum's? So I thought I'd pose so we could hurry up and get this over with. Hurry! The cops aren't lookin! Ssssssshhhhhhhh! Your makin to much noise!!!! (SNAP OF CAMERA) Well it's about time! Now get me down from here! No! Don't run away and leave me up here!



Stone bridges over water seem to be one of my favorite shots. It bring a since. of tranquil to a Sock Monkey in the park.



Ducks swimmin around and fountains shootin up out of the pond. I personally know they will come in close because folks are always feedin them. For excitin destination info there is a island out in the pond called duck island and they really live on it. Just a little fasenatin fact about Nashville. Since the travel channel spends all it's time tryin to compete with the food network, I'll keep ya'll informed. Just a FYI...



It's a plane on a stick! I say every park needs one of these! Well I'll be dipped in chocolate and nuts!!!! Roll around for a while just feelin plain nutty! Hey! Where's the remote? I take it I'm not suppose to ask that?



I'll just sit in front of the stick and pretend it's my own personal plane comin to take me to my next celeb gig! Yeah! That's it!

Thursday happens

HI my Possum's. The warmth of the day is upon us as we progress into summer. The days are so beautiful. I've packed my picnic basket and ready to settle down under a shade tree and enjoy life for a while. I'll do the Sock Monkey jig in the settin sun later this evenin. It is good to be alive! Celebrate my Possum possey

Hello my Possum Possey! Wow! As I type in Bubba's Sock Drawer into my search engine just to see what pops up, I was amazed to find many friends that I have been friends with for many years! We've all been through website together and My Space and face book. Now pretty much all of us have gone into the blog thing! Funny how we all have seen each other through our growin pains on the world wide web, but we Sock Monkeys are evlovin! It is a joy to have my Possum Possey and what a difference it makes to each day when we get to see the travels we each make. True my travels have quieted down in the last few years,but many more adventures await Bubba's Sock Drawer! Today I have set aside this day to celebrate my Possum's! SOCK MONKEY HOLIDAY! I wrote it on my calendar!



I put the top down and go for a wind blown ride to celebrate this glorious holiday! Enjoy your summer Possum's! Bubba

The fireworks

What a great day to be alive Possum's! And a good day to ya'll. The air outside is hot and muggy. Mike decided I needed a new outfit. He bought this fabric last July for the 4th celebration. It has explodin fireworks all over it makin it very colorful. The way I see it? I am wearin the party! I trust ya'll had a good memorial day! Rest and relaxation on this end. The freedom that many Americans frought and died for is wonderful! May God rest their souls for givin their lives for this great country of ours. True the economy is barely squeekin by these days, we'll all survive it somehow. Hey! Just tighten our belts and make your sock monkey a new outfit. What come be more fun than that?
