Out of The Sock Drawer comes BUBBA, the legend of Sock Kind! Able to hang socks in a single bound!Faster than a sewin needle at a Sock fest! Able to leap tall jars of buttons! It's a knittin machine! It's a History! It's Bubba the Sock Monkey!!!!!

Howdy doo Possum's and road kill scrapped up for dinner!I say it's a fine rainy day in east of Nashville. It's rainin on sock night, my Socks are all wet.( sung to the tune of "it's raining on Prom night" from Grease.) A wink and a sigh from The Sock Drawer today! The coffee has been poured and the brew smells up the house! I love to visit the grocery store and sniff the coffee grinder.(giggle)True I walk away with coffee grinds stuck to my nose....but then I can smell them all day long! And some? They went straight to the brain! Caffiene lightnin shoots through my brain, my body flies up in mid air and stiffens straight as a board!I float gently down to the carpet with a Sock Monkey sigh.

Breaking Dawn

Good mornin Possum's and sock knitters! Got a wonderful picture for ya'll today! My Human and his God daughter went to the Twilight convention at Opryland hotel and got to meet one of the actors from Breaking Dawn movies. His name is Charlie and he is there in the center and of course me on his shoulder! Yes...I Bubba, rock with the movie stars! It was funny when my human handed me to him, He immediately threw me on his shoulder! He thought it was great I was a Sock Monkey! He even autographed our photo! We did not know he was gonna do that. As ya'll well know. This was our paintin yesterday. Today it looks like this...



I was sittin in the back yard on my swing and takin a gander at the new addition. It's a work in progress. Don't really know where it'll take us,but our brains are a thinkin on the subject this very mintue. Why am I in my P.J.'s ya'll ask? Why it's a beautiful mornin to sit and have my coffee. It's a Sock Monkey world

Good evenin my chick-a-dee Possum's! Fletcher and I were sittin out in the back yard today enjoyin the warm sun shine. At our table and chair set we decided it would be a rather good day to work on the paintin that we started a few days ago.



This is before we started it. But we actually did bring it out to the back porch for a brushin or two. We won't reveal the additions we made just yet. Keep in mind we are not professional artist nor have we had any trainin in the feild. Ya'll should be really scared by now.



The antique store dummy dude was scared and he's severall blocks away! We figured he's just old and antique. Wrinkle up buddy! We're open! Come on in! Paint 2,3,4! Brush strokes of a poor outdated sock monkey of the 60's! Make love not war in a 60's kind of way! Aaaaaaawwwww...Fletcher! Love it when you sit there and just smile! Hey! I saw a man in his car today pickin his nose! He was diggin for gold! Big old gully-whopper of a booger! Nasty to say the Sock Monkey least! But a funny car ride! Bubba

A blessed day

It's a jello mold kind of mornin here in The Sock Drawer! Not really but fun ta say! And how in the Sam heel sock are my Possum's this mornin? If ya'll ask me Jello is kind of gross. Don't like the way it wiggles! It slaps the red heel smile off my face! Gigglin and a wigglin like something out of an alien movie. If ya drop something in it, it's like it's sapended in mid air!



Got a fun picture for today! This one we spotted on the way to the grocery store. I just happened to be in Mike's back pack with camera when this roadside stop was made. This is the stuff life is made of! An antique store dummy! Nothing better than that! Out of the back pack I came and the next thing I knew,I was sittin in the arms of this dummy! Come on in we're open! What's open? Not my red heel bum! That's for sure! Hey,I like the sun shades! I was wonderin....Is your matache a squirrel? Maybe not but bushy like one.

The new set

Spring time greetins my little Possum's! I'm sure ya'll remember the gold framed pictures found out by the trash cans. They have had a make over and are now servin as Bubba's Sock Drawer photo sets! Red is one of our favorite colors and always looks good with a gold frame around it! Not ta mention it matches my red lips! This is the first time out on this set. Just thought we'd take it out for a test drive.



It's the armless Sock Monkey! Hey armless Sock Monkey! What-cha doin without your arms? Not clappin his hands! That's for sure! LOL! Not scratchin his nose or snappin his fingers...Nose pickin? OUT OF THE QUESTION! If I tied your legs together, how would you pull yourself off the new set? Oh...I get it...just roll away.

More trash to treasure

Twas a glorious afternoon out yesterday and a wonderful sunset goin on and all! Was walkin to the park for a walk and came across these two golden framed pictures. Dumped in the back alley of course. I'm not crazy about the fruited subject matter, but I find it creates a canvas for another Sock Monkey paintin! The bonus of it all, are the gold frames to frame them in once the paintins are complete. They wil require a little cleanin up, but not a problem!



I found this one with the other two as well! Really picked them all up for the frames. An artist can never have to many frames ya'll well know! Why do folks find a bowl of fruit interestin as art? These perplexin questions I always find myself faced with. The picture itself will be used for a canvas.



I'm here to report that Binga-Bonga is at it again! In the park we came upon that storm puddle again. My stunt double thought it was for puddle jumpin! He jumped right in and my human snapped the shot! Seems puddlin is his thang! That and food! Spagetti away! Rinse it off in the puddle! That's the Friday story Possum's! Have a great day! Bubba
