Coffees in the can

That's right Possum's! It's monday and I personally know that most of us hate Mondays! It's the day of catch up on our jobs and long walks to the coffee machine of life! Ever wonder what ta do with all those coffee cans ya'll save and think someday I'll think of a project for them. So....the first project is to take a picture of ya'lls Sock monkey with them, cause it always looks cool! Any comments or ideas can be left on our comments section. I do require it to pertain to Sock Monkeys. That is a requirment in Bubba's Sock Drawer. (insert coffee sip here.)



So here I am the day after the paint fest. The book case has been moved back into the livingroom and we Sock Monkeys have been loaded up for a test display to see what it looks like. I love the bright cheerful colors! This book case was originally brown to fake the wood look. It remeinded me of a dark cave. I sometimes thnk my Human/Dad/owner is stuck in the 70's with all these bright colors and somehow I expect to find Marsha Brady's character spirit hauntin our dwellin. Taps will have to be called at that point. Marsha Brady in the Sock Monkey world looks a little something like this......



IT"S A Parralel UNiverse! The things the SCI-FI channel are made of! Maybe one of our coffee cans is a stargate of sorts! Thats just a therory. I'll just sit quietly on the back porch in a basket full of Teddy Bears and think on that for a while!



Yes! I know what ya'll are thinkin! We always run to our Teddy Bears when we are frightened. Good Call! There is a storm brewin out at this very moment, so it's a good place ta be! The thunder brewin overhead and all. The wind kickin up a dust bowl and I just might find myself flyin over the rainbow! And what if I get there and find that the Land of OZ has completely blown away. Then what? Does that mean there will be a new story unfold all together? Munchkins flyin in every direction is a scary thought! Maybe I've seen one to many movies.



I'll leave ya'll with this pleasent thought. Sock Monkeys out for a horse ride and pic-nic! Have a pleasent Monday and laugh at lifes ups and downs! Bubba

The Sunday afternoon paint fest

We here in The Sock Drawer are at it again! Found this book case out in the back alley as someone near, but not far was tossin it out! Trash to treasure as they say! Out came the paint and walla!!! A brightly colored place for us Sock Monkeys ta sit upon. Tis 81 degrees this afternoon, so the paint dried pretty fast.

Just takin a break from our spagetti tossin ways of the Sock Monkey variety!

Play with your food

Good evening Possum's and Friday night lovers! Most of you have gone out to movies this bein a Friday night and all, but I decided to play with my food! I just want to say that no Sock Monkeys were hurt durin this experiment. I also hired my stand-in for this fun and also very weird food excurshion. Ever wonder what a Sock Monkey looks like in a bowl of spagetti?



Well? Now ya'll know! By the way this is binga-bonga. Everybody say hello to Binga-Bonga! Heeeyyy...Binga-Bonga! What ya'll doin in that big old bowl of Spagetti?

Binga-Bonga- Why rollin around in spagetti sauce of course! Turned my ears green by the way!

Friday Glory

Good afternoon Sock funkest and Possum's! Great news to report today! The Cobra has been found! I was a little worried we'd end up with a cross between the rattle snake and the cobra! Simply a problem we didn't need! Above you'll find me a sittin with the winner of the Mr. Sockford 2011 Contest from the SM festival!! Would be an Elvis impersonator! And me from Nashville! But I congratulated him!I guess he'll always be the king 40 years AD. Very imaginative.....(wink) LOL!



Checkers anyone? My Dad and I will be 52 next month. I'm just practicin for the retirement that will take place three years from now. News update on my tail saga! As ya'll know, I've been havin tail issues bein of age and all! My Dad patched me up once again and I'm off and runnin to the next photo shoot!



$149.00 and a job and you too can own your very own SM ride! I simply love the KIA commercail! Just had ta joke about it!



That's better than them expectin me to be a Puppet! Simply not done in Bubba's Sock Drawer and frankly.....I was insulted! My red heel is not smilin because some bum stuck his hand up my bum! It was a knittin machine thang! Mama...Why?! All in the genes and DNA I suppose.

Get your motor runnin

Howdy Possum's! And welcome to another addition of Bubba's Sock Drawer!(wink) Been a wet rainy day in Nashville. I was just remembering last summer out ridin my bike!(a laugh and a giggle) Oh yeah! I was sittin here watchin Willie Wonka! The old version. Did ya'll see the movie Grease on the tube the other night? Let's take a walk down memory lane shall we? My Dad/owner was a senior in High school When that movie came out in the theatres! Time has past so quickly since then!(zooooooom forward 40 years and here we are!) A Sock Monkey and a brain dead man playin with his Sock Monkey!(laugh out loud!)



We'll just say Merry Christmas and a bucket of Chicken! I'm talkin finger lickin! Everybody roll your Sock Monkey body in bread crumbs and dip me in chocolate! Or deep fry me! (which ever you prefer!)


Or we could just stand here lookin stupid in front of a red funky background! (smile and tilt head ever so slightly)



I like to stare blankly into a bowl of homemade veggie soup!(Bowl not included)

The sun is shining

Hello Possum's! Everyone say hello to Stephanie! Hello Stephanie! Stephanie is My Dad's God Daughter! Wow! She has grown up! She stepped into the Sock Drawer for a little coffee this morning.



You simply must try one of our cupcakes. They are great for dunking in Coffee! Not to mention their size. The temp to day is suppose to reach a warm 62 degrees! And welcome that is! Got down to freezing two nights ago. Tired of that for this year. The tomato seeds have been planted. With the last years plants never produced,We thought we'd try the seed thang this time. I've heard we aren't the only one who's plants did not produce tomato'S! That's the buzz on the web!



Looks to be another day for sitting on the sofa in the tiny garden out back. Warming my self in the sun! Could it be? The music notes of the Nashville sound coming through the rays of the sun? If it is I'm not sure why. But I see the lillies polking their heads up out of the ground and wiggling to the sound! Work it lillies! Have a great day Possum's! Bubba
