The Gingerbread house

It's a 20 degree mornin here in Nashville Possum's! Cold enough ta make ya slap your Mama and walk around in combat boots. And while I'm at it,I'll just run with the scissors,sniff the glue and stick my tongue to a metal pole in sub zero temps! It really was a triple dog dare after all! F*U*D*G*E........Only I didn't say fudge.The Queen mother of swear words! The F_ _ _ word. And if your not careful,you'll shoot your eye out! OH NO! I shot my eye out! Or Button or something. But anyway its' all bout the tinker toys!

So how doo Possum's! Welcome once again to the bloggins of Bubba's Sock Drawer and a Merry Christmas! I can certainly see the season commences and a joyous feelin is a comin over my sock self. I guess the Christmas spirit has finally arrived! Walkin around hummin Christmas carols. The lights on the tree are certanly pretty as we sit in the dark each and every evenin. Mood lightin for the season. Now...as most of ya'll know,Mike is a cake decorator as a profession for many years. Yep! And as ya'll guessed it,He did creat a Gingerbread house for display.



Isn't it the prettiest thing ya'll have ever seen? So holiday-ish! Don't know why anyone would ever eat gingerbread. Plum nasty if ya'll ask me. But it does make a pretty display for the holiday festivities.

31 Degrees

Great day in the frozen mornin Possum's! Mike gave me my Christmas sweater early! It was and absolute perfect moment for such an occasion. The temp as we speak is only 31! Saturday they are callin for snow in the grass with temps in the 20's! Sorry Mr. C! Had ta open this present early! Now that my sockness is all warm and cozy,we can get down to the blogness at hand. And let me start by sayin that Photo Bucket has finally gotten the paste and copy of the HTML codes back and I can start addin more pictures to my blogs now. It's about time and thank ya'll very much for such a simple thing that didn't need fixin in the first place! Leave it alone! Souped up isn't always best! Take the braineyact out of the office and send him on a long,long,long vacation! Nough already! I totally will get up on my soap box on the subject! I could have spit nails when they messed with it! But anyway.....I can at least bitch about it.



So I've been keepin my eye on the present situation! Lot's happenin under our tree! I can't really complain. I mean I did get to open one early. And let me say I am stylin in my newest fashion. As colorful as it is. Not another one like it in the world. Made just for me. Don't think ya'll can run down ta Walmart and get yourselves one so's ya'll can look like Bubba. I am one of a kind and very vintage. My fashions are designed and created for my celeb status. Got ta look spiffy! Mike's camera is always flashin! The staff here in my Sock Drawer do a wonderful job keepin me together and lookin nice for ya'll ta feast ya'll's eyes on. It's all Jimmy Dean in a sauage kind of thing. I provide the casin and they fill it. So get out your bacon and fry it up! Don't make me go all iron skillet on your ass.

Lot's of Christmas plans flyin round our house. I'll not get into to it just now so's ya'll can be excited as the events unfold. Bubba has got many appearances ta make. Christmas is a wonderful celebration of our dear Lords birth. That's all that matters this holiday season. For many of us Santa is poor this year. But much like Dr. Suess,it won't stop Christmas from comin. Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe,just maybe Christmas is so very much more! Let's all keep that in mind as we holiday ourselves into the season. Forgive everybody and love all God's children. Happy Holidays Possum's. Bubba

Rainy Mondays don't get me down

Well.....Good Mornin Possum's! Didn't I tell ya I was gonna sit in the coffee pot like a hot tub? Set that thang into perkulate And all your troubles vanish! All is right with the world! I must start by sayin that the high today is only gonna be about 48 degrees. Down ta freezin tonight! Bbbbbbrrrrrrrr cold Possum's! Rain out here in Nashville. I'll sit by the tree all day and watch the lights twinkle. An ocassional glance down at the big present in the corner with my name on it. I'm just sayin! (chewin gum smack!*!!) I could just go stand naked in the refrigerator and run back and get into my coffee pot to warm up.....Or......I could cut stars out of construction paper....Don't even ask bout glitter and a Sock Monkey.....not pretty. Mike gets tttttt-ed off! **Wink***





Don't-cha just love all the Christmas music on the radio? Ole Bubba's been feelin pretty jolly. Don't make me dip my candy cane in your coffee and stir! Looks like tonight will be spent with a good Christmas movie and a cup of hot chocolate. We get to Christmas all month! And Christmas we will! I want to lay down on the floor and roll myself up in wrappin paper! Can I help it if I like Christmas?

Hello Monkey Mama

Howdy do and a Merry Christmas to ya'll! Thanks for your comment Monkey Mama! As ya'll can see I am startin off my Christmas season right hangin round the giraffe's neck! We don't rightly know where he came from,but he just wondered in and we kept him.

In answer to your question Monkey mama, My human Mike is the 50 year old. I'm only 45 years old. I am considered to be vintage. Aged as a good cheddar cheese and the perfect glass of wine. Did I forget to mention someone popped the cork! LOL! And I Bubba,came pourin out on the ground! A little moldey as vintage goes.

The trees all decorated and the stockings are hung by the chimney (plug in heater) with care. Non stop Christmas music a playin on the radio and the presents wrapped and under the tree. Who needs black friday? Puter baby! A place ya'll don't have to go outside and smoke! Right in the comfort of your very own home! Just pour yourselves a glass of whiskey,point and click! BAM!!!! Your done! I know what ya'll are thinkin. What about the serious specials? Well? What about them? I turned over and got way more sleep than those of ya'll whom got up at 4:00 A.M.! I didn't have to stand in any long lines ta do so either. Just point and click! It's the wave of the future! Ya'll can fight it or ya'll can rock out to it!

Yep! It's true! It's begginin ta look a lot like Christmas.



Sssshhhhh! This is my practice shot at seein Santa! I'm gonna catch him this year! I wanta ride in his sleigh with him this year! I try every year,but end up fallin asleep.

Oh happy day

Oh happy day Possum's! Fall is here and it's cold out today. They are callin for our first frost tonight! The crochetin is goin quite well and folks love to inmitate me with all that's goin on in my life! flatterin I must say! All the quote'in and shit! Let me point out the shark photo in an earlier post.

Looks to be a wonderful day inside the Sock Drawer. As ya'll can see I already have a new outfit. Mike was up early this mornin and decided I needed some new clothes. Out came the machine and went to work. With a bitchin CEO and a 8 ball,the slinky was workin it! I'll be a crocheted hat with a flower on it! And here it is! Show him some vintage fabric and the sewin machine is smokin! 10 minutes later I was ready for an outtin!

Off ta Cheekwood for a Scarecrow outtin! Mighty cold day for it. Ya'll know I'll be the photo subject of the fall happenin! So all ya'll copy kats head on out ta see what ole Bubba's up to. We'll have a bitchin time! I'll be watchin for ya'll.

Looks ta be a homemade veggie soup day! The weather just calls for it!! That's what Grandpa says is for supper. I know ya'll will bring that up a million times this week as well. keeps us laughin here in the Sock drawer. Got a game board in mind for just this occasion. Everytime ya'll pull it,i'll move a game piece forward. Creatin is our game.

The Tuesday madness

Things are goin so well here in the Sock Drawer! Mike and I have been workin on my Halloween costume. I'll not reveal it until Halloween day! So don't even think about askin what I'm gonna be! Now we need ta think of the way I want to carve my pumpkin. That'll come like a walk in the garden.

The crochetin thang is goin pretty well. it gets bigger and bigger! We're not really sure what it is yet. I call it the crocheted blob! Mike doesn't have a clue what he's doin but its all bout the journey. Havin fun! The crafts have been flyin round here. Tis great when ya got the time to fiddle with it! And time is the greatest thing that has been given to us here in the last eight or so weeks! Wwwwwooooo-wwwhhoooooooo! So run and tell that! Big ole shit eaten grin and a birdie finger! It's clear as the news paper on the wall! *wink*
