Starbucks in the mornin

Hello Sock Drawer Possum's! I was sittin here in my Sock Drawer this mornin...Thinkin I should wonder into the kitchen and put the coffee on! NOT!!


Well Starbucks it is! I took the easy road for today!


Once I had my White chocolate moucha I headed out to the Starbucks patio to check my Sock Drawer messages on my I phone. My secretary wasn't present with me to tend to all these things. The text messages and voicemails were staggerin! I just turned it off and sipped my coffee. The fall mornin was wonderful! I just wanted to escape for the day and put my celebrity status on the shelf for a bit. So I sat and thought for a moment as to what I could do for this me time.


I went for a walk torward the city. I found this curious antique along the way! WOW! I haven't seen one of these in a while. I was surprised to see it discarded on the curb by someones trash. My I-phone will half to do for the present.



Along the way I found this fall display in someones flower garden. I stopped for a bit and enjoyed the scarecrows and flowers. Very colorful and pleasent to look at. It's right on time as October will start on Saturday. The month of scariness as Halloween is right around the corner.




My next stop was at The Arcade for a bit of lunch. Really cool place! I had a deli sub and my usual Diet coke.



My love for art had me walkin around the upstairs of the Arcade. Many artist studios reside there. The dark red flowers kind of remind me of the vampire thing. I guess it was the colors that gave me that impression.


This paticular street corner is a favorite of mine. The church across the street is from the 1800's. Still in use to this very day.

It has been great to just enjoy the day and the sights of the city. I love walkin around the city and talkin with my city scape Possum's. I always have time for my fans. We sat on this street corner where there is a Starbucks across the street from that church I mentioned a little earlier. we had coffee together...I signed a few autographs...and made a few pictures with my number one fans!

Owen Farm

Kay Possum's! Here's the thing! The pumpkin pose for this year has been canceled and I'll tell ya'll why... I happened to take my celebrity self to Owen Farm fall festival today and I found a farm with many pumpkin poses and I decided this would be the thing this year. It's official! Fall time started Friday. This morning was the openin of the fall festival! I decided to go.


There were pumpkins all over the place! Rolled up hay pumpkins and all!


I was having the photo session of a life time!



There were so many pumpkins at this festival...my camera crew had a hard time keepin up!



This was disturbin,but entertainin at the same time. Now I know these things are mainly made for children, but aren't holidays mostly for children anyway? We adults have to make our fun. But hey! It doesn't bother anyone that old Bubba makes his appearances at these funtions.


It signafies fall time and I do enjoy a good decoration. What better way than to do it on a farm right? Harvest time they call it.



Lots to see on this outtin! My human grew up around the farm life and had a good time.



The winnin pumpkin pose for this year was a truck load of pumpkins! Wow! Right out of the pumpkin patch.




They actually made for train ride for the Kiddies out of barrels! Very creative I must say.

The chickens were doin the pumpkin chicken dance on such a jouyous occasion! I think I did stop and take out my unicorn horn and dance right along with them.


Ever take a bath in a corn field? I could have today! Not sure why this tub is out here in the corn field,but I'm sure the folks that own this here farm have actually taken a bath here at some point.


But Hey! I'm corny!


I started into the corn maze for a closer look at what this might be. Now I've been in various corn mazes in the past,but each one is different in it's own right!

So all in all...It was a good trip and about 30 minutes out of Nashville! Not bad for a Saturday outtin!

Not what I was lookinf for

Hello Possum's! Been scouttin around town for the perfect pumpkin pose for this year. I haven't quite figured out where it will come,but it will come!



Harvest pumpkins that are ceramic? Not hardly! It takes the charm away! Harvest of what? The local Kroger store? Harvest only down on the farm! My Kroger has had produce all year round! Harvest has already happened in my book. It's clearly a city thing.


Not what I'm looking for!

Wednesday afternoon at the movies

Hello my Possum's and Peeps! As ya'll can see...I had to stop and say hello to the muffler man on the way to the movies. It started out a rainy day Nashville style. Before noon the rain had dried itself off and hid behind the clouds for the afternoon. A nice sunny fall day. I was thinkin to myself that I haven't been to see a movie in quite a while. So I headed out for the afternoon. I didn't have a clue what was playin. But with a theatre with 21 cinamas, there is bound to be something that would catch my interest. I'm a Sock Monkey on a mission. What was my selection?

The Rise Of The Planet of the apes! I didn't even know there was a Rise Of The Planet of the Apes! Now bein a Sock Monkey that lived in the 60's and saw all The Planet of The Ape movies from their very beginin, I had to see what this one was all about.



It was as plain as the checkerboard on the wall, that I must see it!

But first a quick trip to the mens wash room as the diet colas of the day had run their course and were makin a b-line for their exit! Sing it with me.....Takin care of business!



Once I found my seat, I was sittin there quietly. I noticed that I was the only one in the theatre at the moment! Time for a little bit of monkey business of my own!


The wall was a nice place to act up a little.



See? I told ya! Completely empty! Except for myself of course! With 30 minutes to kill before the flick would begin....What was I to do but except my surroundins and play with it just a bit. Even with my Mega Star Status...I can cut the fool every now and again.





Here a Bubba.., there a Bubba.., everywhere a Bubba!



Wait for it! Wait for it! Wait for it!



I might as well light up! There's no one around to correct me! There wasn't even anyone to take my ticket when I arrived!




Finally! The movie! Which was quite good I might add and I give it two thumbs up! Yes I have thumbs Possum's! Yes I know most Sock Monkeys don't, but I have hands! Just look at the ciggarette pose! I have thumbs!



Opps! There it is again! That neon addiction! I should really go to rehab for it. The tabloids would eat that up!!



Maybe I'll just get candy instead. That's my Wednesday afternoon Possum's! Bubba
