The half moon of the evenin is mighty pretty this time of the year. nice cool evenin to sit out on the porch and enjoy a cup of coffee. The temps here in Nashville got down to 49 last night. Twas cold when i Awoke this A.M. Nothing a good cup of Joe couldn't fix! Rubbin the sleep out of my button eyes and reachin for my warm bathrobe so I can stumble down the stairs and dive into the coffee pot! Just like a hot tub! As I sit here and let the coffee trickle over my head pour myself a cup of ambition and yawn an strecth and try ta come to life. Get out your game boards and have a good old fashion family night!Bubba
Good evenin Possum's! Has been a wonderful cloudy fall day. The air cool all day! I guess fall time has crept in on us. Glad for that! What did ya'll think about the elevator funny? I laughed so hard there were tears streamin down my face and still get a chuckle when it comes to mind. One of my Peeps emailed that to me about ten years ago. I hung on to it all this time! After I typed it here I finally laid it to rest in the garbage can,but I wanted to share it with ya'll first. Now ya'll know I'm not the best typer in the world,so it took me quite a while to get that entire thing blogged. I like to see everyone with a smile and a laugh! That's what this blog is for,smiles all around! Welcome to fantasy island! (Sock Monkeys scatter!) As you can see, Mike and I pulled out the Monopoly board this evenin! The game has been going hard and fast! I won't let it slip who owns Park Place! Three hotels already. Piles of fake money everywhere! All the pretty colors! Golly Gosh! Why put your crown on and parade around the livingroom,we're goin on a Journey! I know that sounds pretty crazy,but ya otta try it sometime! It'll make ya laugh! Plum giggle right down to your toes! Good afternoon Passengers,Possum's and Peeps. Today I have a funny to share with you guys and here it is....Things to do in an elevator1. Make race car noises when anyone gets on or off.2.Blow your nose and offer to show the contents of your kleenex to other passengers.3. Grimace painfully while smacking your forehead and muttering: "shut up,all of youjust shut up!"4.Whistle the firstseven notes of "It's a small world" incessantly.5. Sell girl scot cookies.6. on a long ride,sway side to side at the natural frequency of the elevator.7. Shave.8.Crack open your breifcase or purse, and while peering inside ask: " Got enough air in there?"9.Offer name tags to everyone getting on the elevator. Wear yours upside-down.10.Stand motionless in the corner, facing the wall, without getting off.11.When arriving at your floor,grunt and strain to yank the doors open,then act embarrassed when they open by themselves.12. Lean over to another passenger and whisper: "Noogie patrol coming!"13. Greet everyone getting on the elevator with a warm handshake and ask them to call you admiral.14. One word: Flatulence!15. On the highest floor, hold the door open and demand that it stay open until you hear the penny you dropped down the shaft go "plink" at the bottum.16.Do Tai Chi exercises.17. Stare,grinning at another for a while, and then announce: "I've got new socks on!"18. When at least eight people have boarded, moan from the back: "oh,Not now,motion sickness!"19. Give reigious tractsto each passenger.20. Meow occasionally.21. Bet the other passengers you can fit a quarter in your nose.22. Frown and mutter"gotta go,gotta go then sigh and say "oops!"23. Show other passengers a wound and ask if it looks infected.24. Sing "Mary had a little lamb" while continuallypushing the buttons.25. Holler "Chutes away!" Good evenin Possum's! Ya'll remember my little shabby shek white chair? Well...shabby shek is out, so I decided to spend the afternoon paintin it red. I loved the way it turned out! Matches my brown sock red heeled smile. Not to mention I had on a red outfit.
Watch out!!!!!! Wet paint goin on here. be sure not to sit down or the back side of your outfit will be red! I have been sittin here watchin the paint dry this afternoon! What else does a Sock Monkey do in his spare time? Just a little red chair paint update. I am lovin the new look! I know that in time this to will turn into the shabby shek look of chipped paint. It's a glorious Sunday and the weather is wonderfully cool day! The sun is shinin and the blessins, they are a flowin! Hello Possum's and Peeps!! Come on in to Bubba's Sock Drawer and sit a spell. Maybe, just maybe you will leave with a fantastic smile on your faces! Sock Monkey love all around! Lots has happen the last few days. My Dad got layed off from his Job,So we here at the Sock Drawer are askin for your prayers in this matter. Some times it's time to move on, but things of this nature can be very scarey. With God by our sides we can do anything it takes to make the transitions into new jobs and adventures in our lives. Good evenin my little scrunches! Bubba here and ready for the fun to begin! Ya'll know the crazy me that I am,I saw this old ragged out chair sittin across the street and thought oh well,looks like a photo moment. And so it was. Like I always say,it's the little things in life that make you smile. I can still do a good fudderwacken! If ya'll have seen Disneys Alive in Wonderland, you'll know what that is. But I'll tell ya'll what that is anyway. It's a dance! I'm a limber Sock Monkey who can pull it off! Cain't touch this!!!! There's Sock monkey in the world bringin a smile all along the way! It never fails! Looks like my Dad is back in the Sock Monkey makin business. He has been away from it for a long time and looks forward to gettin down to business. Good evenin my Possum's. It's a sad day when I Bubba, the sock, the man, the legend have ta make a retraction from my very own blog. Ya'll remember this fire drill chick from this mornin right? She's a very nice lady that works with Mike and her real name is McCgray. Mike has a bad habit of callin her McCkay (remember he had brain trouble,But we don't talk about it *wink*). Being a wonderful cool mornin in the Nashville area, Mike and I decided to make a pot of home made Veggie soup. I ain't sharin it with little evil dude! Soup dish water for you little evil Dude! Totally! Like rockin the house Veggie soup!!!! It was so good after a nice long nap. The recipe ya'll ask? here it is......Veggie soupdip soup out of pot and eat it!a 1/4 cup of happiness with just a dash fallness.I wanted to sit on the edge of the pot and dangle my feet in,but Mike wouldn't have it! That could have been dangerous had a carrot gone floatin bye! How do ya splain to the cops that your Sock Monkey drown in a pot of veggie soup? he'll go all murder on your ass and stuff! Totally! He wouldn't be able to do a tape outline of the sock body. Talk about bein T'ed off!
